Solvent : MN-101
MN-101 is the only Boeing approved,stabilized n-Propyl Bromide based solvent for replacement of Trichloroethylene, Perchloroethylene and 1,1,1-Trichloroethane in aerospace vapor degreasing. MN-101 is listed as an approved material mix on specification for use. In additional MN-101 has been approved under materials mix for vapor degreasing. MN-101 is a patented azeotropic mixture that can be distilled and reused through numerous cycles before it needs to be replaced. The synergistic action of MN-101 ‘s patented stabilizer package typically precludes the need to ever add stabilizers to maintain the integrity of the solvent through normal use.
HEALTH & SAFETY
MN-101 is a non-flammable, non-carcinogenic solvent mixture that is safe to use in many applications. MN-101 recommends that safe work practices are implemented whenever handling chemicals of any kind to minimize exposure levels and prevent toxic effects. MN-101 is used in cleaning metal parts and was widely believed to be harmless before being linked to birth defects. It is a suspected to cause cancer, and a host of other health problems.
